She made a show of studying the paper, so as not to let her disappointment show. Oh, she remembered. She'd just been starting out then, and hadn't gotten anywhere with solving it. Her abject failure to do so had made her question whether or not she was qualified for her role at all.

"No, it wasn't," she replied, frowning at the paper. She looked up at him again. "Are you trying to solve it? Like...a hobby or something?"
